AfDB board okays review of whistleblower policy
The Bureau of Board of Governors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) has affirmed an autonomous audit of its informant arrangement.
“In view of the perspectives on certain Governors on the issue and the need to convey each Governor along in settling it, the Bureau consents to approve an Independent Review of the Report of the Ethics Committee of the Boards of Directors comparative with the charges considered by the Ethics Committee and the entries made by the President of the Bank Group thereto in light of a legitimate concern for fair treatment,” the administrator of the Bureau of the Boards of Governors Niale Kaba said in a dispatch.
